What is a Jagratha Samithi??

The 'Jagratha Samithi' is a protection forum for women and children that operates with constant vigilance at the local level to safeguard their rights, ensure their physical and mental well-being and personal safety, and prevent atrocities, rights violations, and social ostracism directed against them

Aims and Objectives

•  Protect the rights of women and children, and ensure robust interventions and remedial measures against any form of violence, discrimination, injustice, exploitation, or denial of rights faced by them
• Receive any complaint involving women and children as parties, and ensure a resolution through immediate intervention or support mechanisms
• Forward complaints that the Vigilance Committee cannot resolve on its own to the District Vigilance Committee, the Women's Commission, and other government agencies
• Coordinate government-level agencies and schemes for the protection of the rights of women and girls.
• Create a social environment free from any form of violence against women and children.
